Medical Billing Clerk – OB/GYN Specialty(Full-Time/Contract-to-Hire)
Overview: Immediate contract-to-hire opportunity to join community health organization that provides medical services to Camden County residents. Responsibilities:Experience in Ob/Gyn billing including coding, electronic transmissions, payments, adjustments, third party payors.Verification of patient’s insurance coverage and limits of coverage and familiarity with Medicaid and medical terminology. Verification of patient insurance coverageProficient knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 codes; Experienced in posting charges and payments; collection of delinquent accounts by establishing payment arrangements and monitoring payments with follow-up with patients, as neededProficiency in electronic medical billing software application and proficiency in MSOffice; Excel and Word.Proven ability to work in fast-paced environment with ability to multi task Must be confident in communicating with patients with respect to their coverage/limits, as well as clinical staff and all levels of management.
